Lina, a 7 year old girl, lives at home with her depressed mom. Every time she gets home from school, she tries to convince her mom to go see the big green tree she sees everyday, but she always says no, because she is not feeling well. One day, on Lina's way home, she finds two different people that will help her with her mom: a mystical old man, and a broken hearted teenager.

After fighting with her mom, Mia walks out of her apartment crying and frustrated, and starts walking with no destination. In her walk she finds a 55th birthday party, a tunnel in time that enters Mia's moms youth. Seeing her mom perform in karaoke will lead her to reconciliate with her mom.
